Pick a nickname, learn to move and know what to do in your first hours.

Choose a nickname you will keep

The game asks for a nickname at your first login. It is what other players and the rankings show, so pick one you are happy to be known by.

Learn to move before you learn to aim

Dashes and wall-jumps decide most fights. Spend your first matches getting used to them -- a player who is hard to hit beats one with better aim.

Play the objective

In Touchdown, a team that defends its goal and covers the fumbi carrier wins more than a team of players chasing kills.

Unlock your frame rate

Set Options > Graphics > FPS limit to Auto to play at your monitor's refresh rate, or type /fps 144 (or any value from 30 to 1000) in chat. The game runs at the same speed at any frame rate.

Warm up against bots

Create a room with AI Practice to train against bots, or AI Fill to have bots take the empty slots. Start on AI: Easy and work up to Expert.
